Hello friends, new and old. I haven’t had much spare time on my hands these past few weeks (this excuse is getting old, isn’t it?) An influx of meetings, projects, catching up with friends, mundane tasks here and there have kept me busy. My parents were also in town so I was on full tour guide duties taking them to my most treasured spots in the city.
A little bit of what I’ve been up to:
checking out a new coffeeshop in Mirdif
a stunning luncheon I attended for the second birthday of Paper Fig in Sharjah
kicking it old school with the most delicious falafel at Aroos Damascus in Deira
a beautiful woodland themed baby shower for my gorgeous friend who is due in May
a super easy apple galette I made with some leftover shortcrust pastry I had in the freezer
really into my cortados lately
Dubai’s first proper poke bowl shop, and they’re da bomb
spicy fried eggs with all kinds of chili on a weekend morning
unexpected blooms at my regular coffee shop
a little spring revamp on my bookshelf
my favorite new plate on shop.nonisplace.com, oops it’s already sold out!
gorgeous local radishes at the farmers market
a selfish cheeseboard for one ~ all for me
a batch of muffins I made bursting with Moroccan strawberries, rosemary & brown sugar
